The most unique race of the season

Each October, the Vine Wine’d takes over our premium wine grape vineyards and the surrounding farm. Wine’ding through vineyards, meadows, and numerous forested ecosystems, the network of trails was created by our vineyard manager to showcase the diverse beauty of the property.

Fenn Valley continues to plant new acres of vineyard, so return participants watch the progression of vineyards and wine literally from the ground up. October is the heart of wine grape harvest, and the sights, smells and taste of harvest are with you the whole way around.

Two ways to run it

The courses

Both courses run on the same network of trails. One is a race. One is a walk in the vineyard.

Timed race

5K Trail Race

A challenging trail course through vineyard rows, meadows and forested ecosystems.

  • Timed, with awards presented after the race
  • Trail surface — expect uneven footing and grade
Not timed

1 Mile

An easier course on the same trail network, with no clock and no pressure. Walk it, jog it, or bring the whole group.

  • No timing — finish when you finish
  • Shorter, gentler route

Fennville athletics

The Fennville Public Schools Cross Country program timed this year’s course, and proceeds from timing were donated back to Fennville Public Schools to support local athletes. Our thanks to the team and the coaches who made race morning run on time.

Every year

The post-race party

The finish line is the beginning of the good part.

Live music

A band plays through the late morning while the finishers come in.

Wine & cider

A glass of wine or hard cider at the finish. Soft drinks for kids.

Food

A hot meal under the tent, available to runners and guests.
