Fired Up! Grilling Class

Kick off the grilling season with a fun and interactive demonstration on grilling techniques

a practical and easy-to-follow demonstration of grilling methods

June 6th, 2026

12PM Eastern Time

Kick off the grilling season with a fun and interactive demonstration on grilling techniques. We will take guests through a practical and easy-to-follow demonstration of grilling methods sure to sharpen your game just in time for summer — and the entire event will take place outside, so the sights and smells of the grill will be part of the experience.

This year we are firing up the charcoal for a menu built around tri-tip — a bold, flavorful cut that is a staple of California’s Santa Maria grilling tradition and a crowd favorite once you know the secrets. You will learn how to set up a two-zone charcoal fire, master the reverse sear technique, and discover why slicing a tri-tip is an art form all its own. Along the way we will grill flatbread right on the grate, char spring onions until they are sweet and smoky, and finish crispy potato wedges with a compound herb butter that will change the way you think about a side dish.

The afternoon begins with welcome snacks and your choice of wine or hard cider while the charcoal gets going and the demos kick off. From there, you will be seated for a family-style lunch with your group. Wine and hard cider will be available throughout the fun-filled afternoon!
