The Lake Effect Everyone Loves.

If you have seen our road signs or display ads, you may have seen our slogan, "The Lake Effect Everyone Loves", and wondered what we meant by that. It boils down to the fact that without Lake Michigan to our west, we would not be here.

Back in the early 70's, before the farms known as Fenn Valley Vineyards were purchased, founder Bill Welsch, having virtually no grape growing experience, traveled to the various repositories of viticultural knowledge of the day to learn how to select a good vineyard site.
